These straws come in three lengths, which is great for cocktail use as well as whatever else you're drinking. The shortest is perfect for rocks glasses. I don't put these in a dishwasher so I can't speak to that, but doing them by hand is very easy. To facilitate drying them out when pressed for time, I push a little bit of paper towel through with a cake tester. Otherwise I just let them air-dry. The ends are very nicely smoothed - something not all glass straws have - and these are very easy to drink from. Highly recommend.
